The Propel Way

  • Process for campus hiring

    First round: Written assessment to test your coding skills, logical ability, and comprehension.

    Based on your performance in the first written assessment, we will shortlist you for the second round.

    Second round: Written assessment test- Section 1: MCQ and open-ended coding questions, and Section 2: solve a coding challenge in the language of your choice (C, C++, C#, Java, Javascript, or Python)

    Followed by a Technical/HR interview.


  • Structure of our assessments and interviews

    The more coding questions/challenges you solve in the test, the closer you are to the next step of the interview.

    The timelines and other details will be communicated to the shortlisted candidates.

    We take plagiarism very seriously. We use both automated bots and manual checks to detect any plagiarism.

    We generally disqualify selective students in case of plagiarism. If we find the threshold of cases beyond our internal benchmark, we do not hesitate to disqualify the entire college.

  • Tips for prospective students

    We at Propel view technology as an enabler. We are looking for mindful nerds who share the same passion for clean code.

    Here are some subjects you should definitely brush up on before our tests:

    Basics of programming languages: C, C++, HTML, and CSS.

    Basics of OOPs, Data Structures, and DBMS.

    You must know any one coding language well enough to solve our challenges: C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.

  • Training

    We believe in continuous learning — reskilling and upskilling are vital for us.

    We will provide you with the required training and exposure to grow into a full-stack developer, which entails a good level of exposure to frontend, database, backend, and background services.

    Duration of this training will be communicated to you during joining, and you will be paired with a mentor to work closely with you and guide you in your journey.

  • Role and Responsibility

    Write clean, clear, and concise codes that meet industry and Propel standards.

    Debug and fix any issues during development, QA, and production.

    Effective communication and collaboration by sharing progress updates with the team.

    Accountable for their code throughout the lifecycle of the development by contributing to relevant documentation, process flow charts, design documents, etc.
